Allied Taxis

Allied Taxis has been in business in Shetland for ten years and they have a fleet of 22 cars.  Mark Anderson runs ten of them and has been using Mergi for more than a year.  In fact, he stopped using it for a short time, since he wasn’t sure that it was making a difference.  After about a month, he realised that they seemed to be using between 250 and 300 litres more fuel per week.  He checked everything and the only explanation was that he had stopped using Mergi.   

Mark says that it can take a little while for the effects to become obvious.  Someone doing very little mileage might not notice a difference for a couple of months, but in the taxi business, with cars continuously on the road from 6am until 2am, the effect is rapid.

Mark began using Mergi again and reckons he’s now saving around £10,000 a year.  On the couple of occasions when he’s forgotten to add Mergi to the bulk tank, fuel consumption has increased.  A private driver who works for the company believes he’s getting an extra four or five miles to the gallon.   Mark himself also used it in an old Skoda pick-up.
